Owen all cuddled up in his buggy's footmuff
Owen is practicing all the different sounds he can make. For about a week all we got was raspberries and the other day he did nothing but make a squalking sound in the back of his throat all day.

We think Owen might be starting to teethe,
he certainly loves chewing on his Sophie giraffe!
(and he has been a bit grumpy all week)

14 Weeks
Owen met Santa this week!

He is very vocal now, especially on his changing mat first thing in the morning when he gives a good report on what he is thinking. He also loves hearing people sing and will reward even the most off-key efforts with a big grin.

13 Weeks

13 Weeks
Owen grabbing the ring on his activity gym,
he can now pull it hard enough to make the music play

Owen thinks that mummy blowing raspberries is the height of comedy and we got our first laugh this week! We tried desperately to get a photo of him smiling, but when the camera comes out he just stares at it with a very solemn look on his face.

Owen is also discovering his hands and feet more - when lying on his play mat he clasps and unclasps his hands over and over and kicks his feet against each other.

and loves watching his mobile go around

11 Weeks

Owen is much more actively involved in the world now. He wants to do things and gets bored just sitting around. He now grasps his hands together in front of himself and plays with his fingers. His movement is getting much more coordinated. He grasps things his hand comes across and is absolutely fascinated when I move a black and white patterned toy around in front of him.

and, in the finest English tradition, has been kicked out of his first pub
(no under-18s after 7pm apparently!)

The first 6 weeks

Someone mentioned that they had a friend who had taken a photo of their baby every week for the first year of his life. I thought this was a great idea so have shamelessly stolen it.

Where we didn't have a photo for the exact day I have used photos from a day or two either side, hopefully this won't be a regular occurance!
